I have been studying the Bible for 38 of my currently 62 years; 63 in July. I was raised in a central eastern Illinois town of 8900 people.

I believe that there is one truth and that everything that is true springs from the truth of God’s Word which for the most part is found in the Bible. What I mean “for the most part” is that several words have been added and several have been omitted by various translators of the Bible.

My “lifelong” ambition is the get back what God originally intended in His Word. I do not do this by “private interpretation,” but by showing all who are interested, what is written and what is not, in the Hebrew and Greek texts. What I have learned is that the Bible is self-interpretive. It does this by what is written in the verse, the context of the verse, the remote context of what the chapter is speaking of and places where the subject has been used before.

When anything is unclear where it is written one of these 4 methods will make it clear, assuming it was correctly translated. To ascertain whether it was correctly translated I use the PC Bible Software by Biblesoft (registered.)

In my new book which will debut in July of 2012, “Rightly Dividing The Word of Truth, a Fresh Perspective to Understanding The Bible” I show people how the Bible is actually divided into 8 sections, as opposed to the Old/New Testaments. Even these 2 divisions are incorrect, as those living in the gospel period were still under the Law of Moses. Jesus fulfilled that law with his offering of his own life, as the last Adam, for the sin of the first Adam. No “new” testament could possibly begin until after the fulfillment of the Law of Moses.

The Bible says that the truth sets you free. What if you come to the end of your life and find that you have been believing a lie your whole life and the freedom you thought you were experiencing was actually bondage, like the children of Israel experienced most of their lives? Think it can’t happen to you? if you think it can’t, it probably has.

We have an Adversary in this world who is more clever than any mortal who has ever lived. He has the ability to do miracles; he can transform himself into an angel of light; he has the ability to blind those who think they see and those who can’t, to keep in darkness. He was once God’s most trusted ally. It is from their relationship that the saying came, “keep your enemies close and your friends closer!”

I work full time as a Handyman and am not near a computer, nor do I have an iPhone to communicate, from 9-5. I started my first and 2nd successful businesses without a computer, cell phone, twitter, facebook, a blog or linkedin. I know times are changing and I may have to get an iPhone soon. One of my clients offered to buy me one but I have so far refused to get one. I don’t want to be one those people who crosses the street in front of me while I’m driving, with their head down! Life is to short to be connected 24/7.

I don’t know how often I will post, but I do know that when I do it will not be a waste of your time. I value your time; it is the one thing we all have the same amount of.
